Healthy Homes is a home visitation program aimed at strengthening at-risk families by helping them gain the skills to create and sustain safe, healthy and nurturing homes. The goal is to prevent child abuse and neglect.

New or expectant parents learn to care for their newborn, ensure a safe home and good nutrition and facilitate their child(ren)’s growth and development so they reach their fullest potential and are ready for school. Positive parenting, child discipline, and relationship skills are taught. Parents gain access to timely medical and other services, gain life skills, such as coping, stress reduction, and problem solving to see them through crisis and difficult life decisions, and gain knowledge and skills to access resources to meet their needs and to work toward self-sufficiency.
