Making the Best of a Difficult Time

Whether you are a patient or family member, a stay in the hospital due to a critical illness or injury can be a difficult time. Rest assured that the critical care unit (CCU) and progressive care unit (PCU) at Antelope Valley Hospital are committed to providing the highest levels of care, supported by advanced technology and an expert staff.

All of our nurses are specially trained. Each nurse in CCU has only two patients to care for at any given time while PCU nurses care for three to four patients at a time. If the medical situation warrants, some patients are attended by a nurse dedicated solely to their care.

While quality care is our highest priority, it is also a crucial part of our mission to furnish valuable information for families whose loved ones are in our unit.
