The use of cellular telephones in patient care and equipment intensive areas is prohibited. Patient care and equipment intensive areas shall be defined as follows:

• Emergency Room
• Operating Room
• ICU/CCU
• PCU
• Recovery Room
• NICU/CCN
• Laboratory
• Radiology
• 2 Tower/4 Tower/5 Tower
• Endoscopy
• Labor and Delivery

IMPORTANT NOTE: Cellular telephones shall be turned off as they do transmit signals even when not in use.

Pay Telephones
Pay telephones are located in several areas:

• Near the main elevators on the first floor
• Near the elevators on the second, third and fourth floors
• Outside the Emergency Department and Outpatient Registration entrances
