Admitting


It is our privilege to have you as a patient and our guest. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more pleasant, please tell a member of our staff.

To make your admission as easy as possible, we request that you take time to read this page and follow the instructions so everything will be ready when you arrive.

Pre-Scheduled Procedures and Admissions
To help expedite the handling of the registration process a few days prior to your scheduled procedure, our pre-registration office will call you to verify:

  • Your demographic information
  • Your insurance information
  • Your insurance eligibility and benefits with your health plan
  • Authorization on file for your services. For pre-scheduled procedures it is your physician’s responsibility for obtaining any authorization that is needed. Everything is updated in the computer system for when you arrive.

Upon arrival please go directly to the admitting area, located at the Main Entrance, where you will need to check in and complete the admission process.

Pre-Admit Testing
Your physician will tell you if pre-admission testing is required before your procedure. Please report to the Main Entrance of the hospital and check in at the front desk, and you will then be seen in the pre-admitting area.

Maternity Patients
When labor begins you can go directly to the Women and Infants Pavilion for registration and admission. For your convenience you can print out the pre-admission form in advance and bring the completed form into the Women and Infants Pavilion Admitting Department, to pre-register for your admission.

What to Bring With You
You will need only a few personal belongings for your hospital stay. It is recommended that you bring the following items if you are staying overnight:
  • A robe
  • Slippers
  • Sleepwear
  • Toilet articles
  • Cosmetics
  • Shaving supplies

It is also requested that you bring your:
  • Insurance card
  • Photo ID
  • Method of payment for any co-pay or deductible that will be due

Valuables
We recommend that you leave your valuables at home. The hospital cannot assume responsibility for lost items or money kept in your room.

Deposit Requirements
All co-insurance and deductibles are required to be paid before service or discharge.
