Main hospital visitors (except those entering the Emergency Department) must register at the Visitor Welcome Desk inside the main hospital entrance. Each visitor will receive a visitor pass, which must be displayed at all times.
Visitors may be asked to present government‑issued photo identification in order to obtain a visitor pass. Minors without valid government‑issued photo identification must be accompanied at all times by an adult with a visitor pass.
Minors (16 years and younger) may not visit without adult supervision.
Most areas allow for up to three visitors per patient at a time, but some rooms may have space constraints that limit the number of visitors.
Visitors may be asked to leave the room when patient care is to be administered.
Visitors are not permitted to sit or lie down on patient beds, utilize patient bathrooms or other patient facilities.
If, at any time, the hospital staff feels that a visitor is being disruptive, not following infection control practices, and/or presents a threat to the care and safety of others in the hospital, that visitor will be asked to leave the premises.
