AVH Provides the Pfizer Vaccine to AV Residents

Antelope Valley Hospital (AVH), in partnership with the City of Lancaster and High Desert Medical Group are supplying an Antelope Valley vaccination site with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is the only vaccine approved for people ages 12 and older---this population are now eligible for the vaccination.

Vaccine Incentive Program

The California Department of Public Health announced a new vaccine incentive program launching May 27, 2021, as part of the larger Vax for the Win program. The incentive program encourages Californians who have not yet been vaccinated to get started today. The first 2 million Californians who start and complete their COVID-19 vaccination process beginning May 27 will be eligible for a $50 incentive card.

Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine will be provided. The vaccine will be administered as a 2-dose series, 3 weeks apart. Now that the eligibility requirements allow minors* 12 years of age and older to receive the vaccine, AVH is doing our part to ensure these younger AV residents have access to the vaccine.

  • If minors walk-in or schedule through, they will need to come in with their parent/legal guardian to the appointment for written consent.
  • A parent or legal guardian must be present; authorization from older siblings will not be accepted.
  • School IDs are not accepted. Proper identification should have a date of birth.
