Antelope Valley Hospital welcomes more than 4,500 babies a year through its Women & Infants Pavilion, a spacious and modern facility located on the hospital’s campus. It offers an inviting environment where families can experience birth with the right blend of comfort and technology to support them. The pavilion's home-like atmosphere includes 39 private rooms and couplet care (meaning families can stay together), as well as a state‑of‑the‑art NICU and three surgery suites.
Quality, compassionate care is our number one priority. We were named a Baby-Friendly Hospital in 2015, which supports breastfeeding and mother-baby bonding.
Unlike the traditional approach, in which new babies are cared for in a separate nursery by a dedicated nursery staff, couplet care places healthy newborns in the same room with their mothers until both go home. A single nurse attends to the needs of both mom and baby.
Rooms in the Women & Infants Pavilion include extra sleeping accommodations, which allows the new mother’s partner to remain with the mother and baby during their entire hospital stay.
Our clinic provides routine gynecological exams, pregnancy and prenatal care, and breast and cervical cancer screenings. See right column for more information.
